About the role

What you will do:

Cineplex’s VIP Back of House Supervisors are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional experience to each and every guest. Our VIP BOH Supervisors are passionate about food and hospitality and look to bring their experience towards providing an intimate and sophisticated night out.

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Actively oversee and, when necessary, participate in the execution of VIP Menu standards, food safety, and product quality by all back of house staff.

  • Coach, train, and mentor cast members and provide in-the-moment feedback.

  • Conduct and participate in interviews to hire new back-of-house employees.

  • Deal swiftly and professionally with Guest concerns on all matters – with a focus on food service quality and presentation.

  • Ensure all Health and Safety standards /procedures are being met and the Health and Safety Policy is being followed.

  • Ensure ANY machinery or equipment is safe for both guests and employees and locked out if necessary.

Accurately complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reports as assigned.

Qualifications:

This role may be a perfect fit for you if:

  • You have experience in a similar environment.
  • You can analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to lead a team during high volume business periods in multiple departments.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities, attend to employee's development while continuing to meet financial targets and reporting responsibilities. You have strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.

Education & Certification

  • National Food Safety Training Program
  • First Aid (Adult and Child CPR)
  • Provincial Alcohol Handling/ Serving Certification
  • Certificate/ Diploma in culinary arts preferred.
