POSITION FUNCTION:
The Assessments Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth administration of the IELTS assessments by managing the scheduling and following security protocols in compliance with MOSAIC and British Council policies and procedures.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with the Managing Coordinator and Manager, oversee program operations
- Test Administration & Coordination
- Organizing and scheduling IELTS test sessions.
- Ensuring test center readiness, including proper setup of computers, seating arrangements, and testing materials.
- Monitoring test sessions to ensure compliance with British Council guidelines.
- Handling test-taker registrations and verifying identification documents.
- Enforcing test security protocols and preventing fraudulent activities.
- Conducting periodic training sessions to update staff on IELTS policies and procedures.
- Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensuring the test center operates in compliance with MOSAIC and British Council policies.
- Maintaining strict security and confidentiality of test materials and candidate information.
- Addressing technical or logistical issues that arise during test administration.
- Reporting any test-day irregularities or incidents to the Manager.
- Customer Service & Support
- Assisting test takers with inquiries before, during, and after the test.
- Handling complaints, rescheduling requests, or refund inquiries.
- Providing instructions and guidelines to candidates before the test begins.
- Technical & Equipment Management
- Ensuring that all computers, microphones, and headsets are functioning properly.
- Troubleshooting technical issues that arise before or during test sessions.
- Coordinating with IT support if major technical problems occur.
- Coordinating with HSST in case of any health, safety or Security concerns.
- Reporting & Documentation

Preparing and submitting test reports and attendance records.

Maintaining records of test sessions, incidents, and candidate information.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
One to two years of experience managing or invigilating standardized tests like IELTS, CELPIP, etc.

Working knowledge of the educational private sector and immigrant needs; standard office equipment,
-
Knowledge of standard health and safety protocols.

First Aid certification is an asset.

Ability to work individually and within a team

A current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.
HOURS: full-time 35 hours per week. Schedule: Sun-Monday and Thurs-Sat. Some evening work.
Contract ends March 31, 2027.
The successful candidate must be able to commute to 200-7134 King George Blvd. Surrey, British Columbia, V3W 5A3
COMPENSATION: $31.26 - $34.09 per hour
BENEFITS:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
