About the role

  • Frequently meet and communicate with the Project Coordinator and provide feedback on field activities

  • Review, coach and mentor safety watch, spark watch and air watch workers on job specific procedures and customer requirements

  • Assist and coach workers on tasks such as setting up for Breathing Air, Spark Watch, CSE Attendant and Area Watch

  • Participate in daily safety meetings and ensure topics discussed are relevant to the turnaround activities

  • Review Hazard ID’s and ensure that all corrective actions are implemented when applicable. Distribute all information related to the Hazard ID/Near Miss to on-site Advisor or Project Coordinator

  • Appropriately allocate resources to jobs based on their know competencies and capabilities to perform scopes

  • Complete evaluations and competency assessments on safety watch, spark watch and air watch personnel that report to you.

  • Ensure all Bravo Target Safety site equipment is inspected and maintained. Report any deficiencies found to the on-site Advisor/Project Coordinator utilizing the correct reporting process and forms

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in industrial leadership role
  • 3 years experience in Oil and Gas sector or Safety services
  • Knowledge of authoritative standards including NIOSH, NFPA, CSA and Canadian Provincial Health & Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of TDG, and Transport Canada regulations
  • H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid and CPR
  • Successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
  • Bravo Target Safety approved driver including vehicles and trailers
  • Driver’s license with clean abstract
