Scope of the Position:
Reporting to the Director National Accounts, the National Account Manager is responsible for managing and maximizing growth and profitability within a portfolio of strategic high profile corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop account growth strategy within Vallen while working with senior and local management to execute.
- Includes growth in new account locations, new Vallen capabilities, and maximizing account penetration within agreed upon contracts and framework
* Drive customer interaction and assist sales force inside and outside in finding and closing opportunities * Design, document and lead the account site selling and sales management activities via the local Vallen branch and team as applicable
- Develop supplier plans to assure supplier profitability, relationship and activity within account site and corporate offices
- Deliver and manage quarterly and annual business reviews
- Development and execution of annual account business plans and budget / forecasts.
- Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and environment policies and all applicable OH&S legislation/regulations.
- Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections.
- Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses.
- Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements.
- Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks.
- Additional tasks as assigned
Education and Training:
- High School Diploma required.
- University/College Diploma preferred.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Knowledge of MRO distribution operating software preferred.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience, preferable in a Sales/Distribution environment.
- The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a very fast paced environment.
- Industry experience preferred
