About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values
and ensures that those values guide all decisions. Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures
continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,
understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.
The Project Manager will plan, execute, monitor and provide leadership to corporate projects as part of the
deliverables of the Local Delivery Group requirements. Working closely with organizational leaders, informatics
teams, clinical teams, 3rd party vendors and other partners, the Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project
management using planning, monitoring, executing, controlling and closing processes. The Project Manager will be
responsible for co‑ordination, oversight and completion of these projects, including budget(s) and to this end will
perform a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, managing risk, issues and
escalations as required.
Providing both technical and administrative guidance to support daily operations and long‑term program objectives,
the Project Manager will work closely with decision makers across the Northwest Region to identify, recommend,
develop, implement, and support the implementation of digital health solutions and related project activities. By
fostering collaboration and innovation, the Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless
implementation of digital health solutions, and advancing digital healthcare transformation across the Northwest
Region.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
*A diploma or Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Care Discipline, Health Administration or
Health Informatics; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education is required
*5 years related work experience leading large scale enterprise projects preferred
*1+ years health information systems managerial experience preferred
*Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred
*Extensive software/application implementation experience is an asset
*Extensive experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
*Excellent understanding of the organization s goals and objectives
Skills/Abilities:
*Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices and procedures
*Strong understanding of project management principles, PMP certification is mandatory (or in progress)
*Strong understanding of change management principles, Change Management certification is an asset
*Strong leadership skills
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Highly organized, self‑motivated and self‑directed
*Keen attention to detail
*Proven analytical, evaluative and problem‑solving abilities
*Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment
*Exceptional customer service orientation
Salary Range: $46.770 to 58.460
The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets

Criminal Records Check (CRC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions; and proof of
