Speech Pathologist
About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated clinician to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver individualized therapy plans for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations. Your expertise will support clients in building essential communication skills, fostering confidence, and improving overall quality of life.
This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact through patient-centered care in clinical and/or educational settings, while fulfilling CASLPO supervision requirements for Communication Disorders Assistants (CDAs).
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders in pediatric and adult clients Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions targeting articulation, language development, social communication, and oral-motor skills Maintain complete, accurate, and timely client records in accordance with CASLPO rules, regulations, and documentation standards Provide timely supervision to Communication Disorders Assistants (CDAs) in accordance with CASLPO standards and requirements Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and support early intervention strategies Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate and thorough documentation Educate caregivers and educators on strategies to support continued development outside of therapy sessions Maintain current knowledge of best practices, research advancements, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to speech-language pathology Qualifications & Requirements
Registration and good standing with CASLPO Professional liability insurance Strong organizational and management skills Familiarity with standardized assessment tools Demonstrated ability to provide timely CDA supervision in compliance with CASLPO requirements Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and high-quality patient-centered care Must have a current valid driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle For all inquiries or to apply for this position, please email your resume to info@speechforall.ca.
