Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manager of Workforce Development & Partnerships located in Edmonton, AB. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing workforce development programs, creating and maintaining partnerships with community organizations, and identifying job opportunities for newcomers. Daily tasks include coordinating services, monitoring program effectiveness, working with stakeholders, and developing strategies to address workforce barriers. The Manager will also be involved in grant writing, report preparation, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in workforce development, employment services, and partnership building
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in program evaluation, data analysis, and grant writing
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and communities
- Understanding of immigrant settlement and integration processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a community-based agency is a plus
- Familiarity with local labour market trends and employment resources
