We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Property Management team. This position for HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic is part of a team of specialists who operate, maintain and control the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation mechanical systems in assigned facilities in the Central Region in accordance with all applicable acts regulations, policies and departmental procedures.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
- Experience in refrigeration and air conditioning trade;
- Experience troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and/or repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including related components and equipment.
- Gasfitters ticket will be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
Desired knowledge, skills and suitability
The ideal candidate will possess these qualifications, skills and knowledge, but also demonstrate suitability for the role and organizational culture. Key competencies for success in this role include:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of the refrigeration & air conditioning trade.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems in large buildings.
- Ability to diagnose and research solutions and to set priorities. Ability to communicate effectively and use good judgment.
Conditions of Employment
This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:
- Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate
- restricted area identification card (RACI) (to be met within 6 months of hire)
- class 5 driver's licence or equivalent security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
Job Requirements
This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:
- Use of personal protective equipment
- Work in adverse weather conditions and confined spaces Travel throughout the territory
