About the role
Main Functions
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Plant Manager, the Logistics Clerk is responsible for coordinating logistics activities related to the production and distribution of yeast (liquid, fresh, and dry). The role involves close collaboration with the fermentation production, supply chain, and distribution departments to ensure smooth shipment operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan fermentation schedules.
- Plan and organize deliveries of liquid, fresh, and dry yeast.
- Prepare and submit required documentation for shipments and customs clearance.
- Act as the main point of contact for carriers regarding non-conformities and complaints.
- Manage sample shipments via internal and external mail.
- Enter data and document shipments/receipts in financial and quality assurance systems.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth logistics that meet requirements.
- Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
- Provide backup support for raw material purchasing
Technical skills
Required
- Relevant experience in logistics or shipment coordination (an asset in a food and/or manufacturing environment).
- Proficiency with computer tools and management software (ERP, Excel, etc.).
- DEC or higher degree in a relevant field (Transportation Logistics, Operations and Supply Chain Management, etc.).
Personal abilities
Required
- Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
- Strong service orientation, attention to detail, and autonomy.
- Bilingualism required: French and English, both spoken and written.
