As a Housing Systems Analyst in the Chief Housing Office, you be responsible for the collection, analysis, verification, interpretation and dissemination of quantitative and qualitative information to inform decision-making in the delivery of the Home is Here: The City of Calgary's Housing Strategy 2024-2030. Primary duties include:
- Initiate, collaborate and execute complex quantitative and qualitative research to identify and investigate conditions related to housing.
- Perform data analysis including census data and residential market research data, interpret and present findings and write reports.
- Provide data expertise for the development of policy, analysis, programs and reports in collaboration with project managers and policy analysts, data analysts, and strategists from other business units.
- Assist with policy, program and housing development; support the development of policy, analysis, programs and reports in collaboration with project managers and policy analysts and strategists from other business units.
- Lead the development and implementation of business unit information management systems and tools, including the Housing Data Dashboard.
- Monitor, document and share affordable housing related research and policy updates.
- Collaborate in the design, development and maintenance of business unit reports, presentations and information materials.
Qualifications
- A degree in Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience researching, collecting, analyzing, verifying, and interpreting complex quantitative and qualitative data.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
- A solid understanding of residential market reports, affordable housing literature and affordable housing programs and policies at municipal, provincial and federal government levels will be considered an asset.
- Proficiency with GIS, PowerBI, and database systems will be considered an asset.
- Experience with project management will also be considered an asset.
- Strong visual and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, individual leadership and teamwork abilities and excellent problem solving, influencing and collaboration skills.

Compensation: Pay Grade 11 $44.76 - 59.84 per hour
Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
Audience: Internal/External
