About the role

Saige Homecare has been honored to provide exceptional care in Calgary and surrounding communities for over 10 years. Saige Homecare is currently looking for a caring and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to work in a home care setting. Open availability preferred as there are daytime, evening and potentially overnight shifts available.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you would work under the supervision of our Registered Nurses and provide professional nursing care to the home care client.

Pay: $26-$28 per hour, based on experience

Schedule/Shifts: Part Time, Flexible

Responsibilities

  • Performing specialized nursing procedures
  • Ability to follow Care Plan
  • Complete comprehensive client assessments
  • Observation, Documentation, Reporting and Charting of client conditions and changes
  • Remain on-call for clients who have healthcare emergencies
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to the client and family members as needed

Qualifications

  • Active LPN License in good standing with CLPNA
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Current Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (Completed in the last 6 months)
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Access to a computer and cell phone
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to complete assignments in a timely manner
