About the role

Loader Operator Our Tomlinson Environmental Services division is currently looking for a Loader Operator for our 5597 Power Road location. The selected candidate will be responsible for safely operating a loader in support of environmental and soil management operations. Vacancy Type: Replacement Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (hours may vary depending on operational needs) Location: 5597 Power Rd DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Operate a loader in and around the facility

  • Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required documentation
  • Conduct routine safety and maintenance checks
  • Load, move, stockpile, and place materials as required
  • Assist with site clean-up, general yard upkeep, and material handling activities
  • Perform manual labour as required, including shoveling and working around equipment
  • Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensure equipment is operated, parked, and stored safely and securely
  • Work in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and site requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically loaders
  • Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures, including backing procedures, use of spotters, signage, incident reporting, and required PPE
  • Understanding of equipment operation, cleaning, and maintenance requirements
  • Experience loading, moving, and handling various materials safely and efficiently
  • Mechanically inclined (considered an asset)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and listening) COMPENSATION INFORMATION The expected wage for this position is $30.00 - $31.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
