- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Curious about how security and operations meet, you like breaking things and fixing them
- Comfortable using Linux command line and reading logs
- Understand the basics of AWS (IAM, EC2, S3, networking)
- Familiar with security concepts like least privilege, encryption, and secrets management
- Communicates clearly and asks good questions
- Bonus: exposure to Python, Bash, Terraform, or cloud security scanning tools
What the job involves
- We are seeking a dynamic and talented Undergraduate SecOps Intern/Co-op to join our team
- This experience provides a unique opportunity for 2nd or 3rd or 4th-year undergraduates to apply their skills and learn from experienced professionals
- Investigate and triage alerts from AWS GuardDuty, Datadog, and internal monitoring systems
- Automate simple checks for IAM key rotation, open ports, and unused credentials
- Participate in simulated incident investigations (analyzing logs, tracing suspicious activity)
- Review IAM policies, security groups, and S3 configurations for best practices
- Help build and document detection and response playbooks
- Learn how to use tools like AWS Config, Security Hub, CloudTrail, and Datadog Security Monitoring
- Partner with DevOps and SecOps engineers to improve automation, visibility, and alert quality
- Support vendor security assessments by completing questionnaires, reviewing responses, and ensuring alignment with internal security controls
- Participate in Bugcrowd program reviews — analyzing reports, verifying findings, and tracking remediation with engineering teams
- What You’ll Learn:
