SUMMARY

Take care of logistics and customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, supporting delivery personnel, handling complaints, all in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner. Responsibilities also include answering the phone, and other clerical duties requested by the supervisor

SHIFT: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 3:30PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Route distribution and support to delivery people on the road (monitoring).
  • Follow up on orders and notify the customer of any activity related to their merchandise. Correct inventory errors and communicate daily with the client and the operations team to address various issues. Provide proof of shipment to the customer if required.
  • Prepare, classify, and distribute billing papers for delivery partners and ensure accurate billing by checking invoices generated by the system.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients by responding to all their requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Prepare various reports for the management team
  • Control all documents associated with orders
  • Coordinate the implementation of a logistics plan to achieve delivery time and productivity objectives.
  • Participate in the implementation of work procedures developed jointly with operations, transport, and customer service.
  • Assumes responsibility for on-time shipments as prioritized by customer ensuring daily workload is executed well.
  • Responsible for organizing in the most efficient way possible the receipt and shipment of merchandise to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor productivity levels of operations and communicate problems to supervisor.
  • Train staff, when necessary, on procedures, policies, and special projects.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment
  • Other duties as required

EDUCATION

  • Completion of secondary school or college or equivalent experience in customer services or transport is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Related logistics experience would be an asset
  • Knowledge of logistics and planning systems
  • Familiarity with computer system hardware and software,
  • Exceptional analysis and reporting skills required.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
  • Must workday today with little or no supervision.
  • Proven communication skills in both French and English
