Job Summary
The Manager, Performance Evaluation plays a key role in helping CABHI operate as a data-driven, insights-led organization. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for measuring the performance and impact of CABHI’s programs, activities, and initiatives to ensure we meet our funder commitments.
In practice, this role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and data. You will work collaboratively across teams to define what success looks like, build systems to track it, and turn data into clear insights that support decision-making. This includes program evaluation, impact reporting, and helping teams use data more effectively in their day-to-day work. This is a highly collaborative role that requires both structured thinking and strong communication skills, as you will be working with a range of internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program Evaluation & Data Analysis

Define and manage KPIs that measure the success and impact of CABHI’s programs, initiatives, and activities

Design and implement practical systems for collecting, tracking, and analyzing data

Ensure data quality and consistency by working closely with internal teams and funding recipients
-
Identify new ways to measure outcomes and impact, including surveys, tools, and external data sources
-
Contribute to impact reports and public-facing materials that clearly communicate results
2. Strategic Planning & Decision Support

Develop and maintain logic models and frameworks that connect activities to outcomes and impact
-
Monitor performance trends and provide insights to support planning and continuous improvement
-
Translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership, program, marketing and communication teams
-
Ensure evaluation and reporting align with funder requirements and expectations
3. Collaboration & Reporting
-
Partner with teams across CABHI (e.g., programs, finance, marketing, communications, operations, knowledge mobilization) to support data needs
-
Collaborate with the operations team around internal dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-making, where needed.

Present insights in a clear and accessible way for different audiences (e.g., leadership, funders, board, program leads)

Act as a resource for evaluation best practices, data structure, and reporting approaches

Collaborate with Baycrest partners to align on shared evaluation and reporting priorities, where needed
4. Continuous Improvement

Regularly review and improve evaluation frameworks and processes
-
Stay current with best practices in program evaluation, analytics, and reporting

Help build a culture where teams use data to guide decisions and improve outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in social science, research methods, healthcare evaluation, informatics, health information management, or a related field required
-
Master’s degree considered an asset
Experience
-
5+ years of relevant experience in performance evaluation, data analysis, or a related field
-
Proven ability to assess outcomes and impact at both strategic and detailed levels
-
Experience managing complex data projects and working with large datasets
-
Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools, including dashboards and data repositories
-
Experience working with multi-dimensional data and interactive analysis
Technical & Analytical Skills
-
Strong understanding of how evaluation supports decision-making and organizational strategy
-
Strong skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis
-
Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
-
Recognized as a subject matter expert in evaluation and data practices
Leadership & Strategy
-
Ability to lead and evolve CABHI’s data and evaluation approach
-
Strong strategic thinking with a focus on impact and outcomes
-
Knowledge of industry best practices in evaluation, metrics, and value-based healthcare
Communication & Collaboration

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to present complex data clearly to different audiences
-
Collaborative mindset, with experience working across teams and stakeholders
Compensation
At Baycrest, we take pride in ensuring our compensation structure is internally equitable and compliant with pay equity legislation. We believe compensation should be transparent, equitable, and reflective of your experience and growth. Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.
The salary range for this position is $102,072 to $127,590 per year.
Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
