Position: Senior Project Lead
Salary: €50,000 – €75,000 gross p.a., permanent contract, possible bonus Experience: ~5 years in landscape planning with independent project leadership Languages: German C1 Tools: MS Office, QGIS (ArcGIS a plus) Industry: Environmental / Landscape Planning, ~25 employees, HQ Ostfildern Location: Offenburg, Germany (Hybrid — up to 2 home-office days/week; fully remote not possible) Target : This is only for those inside Europe
Role Description The Landscaping Senior Project Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Offenburg, Germany. This role oversees end-to-end landscaping projects, including planning, scheduling, and supervising daily work on client properties. Responsibilities include Independently lead and deliver demanding landscape planning projects, incl. landscape management plans (LBP), species protection assessments, and ecological compensation measures, providing technical leadership for project teams, ensuring quality assurance, and mentor colleagues, developing nature conservation concepts; coordinating avoidance and compensation measures; ecological construction supervision, helping shape technical standards, workflows, proposals, and client relationships and gradually taking on technical coordination responsibilities for the Offenburg site, with a path to full site responsibility
Requirements
- Completed degree in landscape planning, landscape ecology, geoecology, biology, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in landscape planning, with proven independent project leadership
- Solid knowledge of German nature conservation and intervention law, and experience preparing conservation plans
- Good knowledge of vegetation and species ecology
- Proficiency with QGIS and MS Office; ArcGIS is a plus
- German language proficiency at minimum C1
- Enjoys taking responsibility, supporting colleagues, and helping develop the company further
