Are you passionate about driving brand and customer growth through strategic account leadership? As Strategic National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key national retail accounts to drive sales, increase market share, and maximize profitability. Reporting to the General Manager, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the CPG industry.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key national retail accounts, including retailers, buyers, and category managers.

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives for assigned national retail accounts. This involves identifying growth opportunities, negotiating contracts, and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue.

Indirectly manage team of Account Managers (via Broker) for regional accounts ensuring clear KPIs are established, maintaining strong communication to maximize efficiency and results.

Negotiate pricing, promotions, and terms of trade agreements with national retail accounts to maximize sales and profitability while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop integrated business plans and drive execution excellence.

Analyze market trends, consumer insights, sales and supply chain data to identify opportunities for growth and develop actionable strategies.

Forecast sales volumes, monitor inventory levels, and manage product assortment to optimize product availability and shelf presence.

Collaborate with the customer replenishment team to ensure supply chain excellence.

Oversee the financial aspects of assigned national retail accounts, analyzing P&L statements, optimizing revenue streams, managing costs, and ensuring efficient trade spend allocation to maximize profitability.

Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the CPG industry to proactively address challenges and opportunities.
Equipment
-
A Bachelor’s degree is required in Business, Marketing or related field.

Minimum of 5 years sales experience selling consumer products into National Accounts.
-
Extensive knowledge working with/selling to grocery and/or mass retailers.
-
Canadian packaged food industry experience is an asset.
Instructions

Proficiency in MS Office, specifically excel, and other technology platforms including customer platforms such as LDIA, Retail Link and IRI.

Strong analytical capabilities including pulling and analyzing POS from customer portals and transforming data into story-based selling.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including strong written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.

Ability to develop & maintain relationships while collaborating cross-functionally within marketing, supply chain, finance, and other departments to align sales strategies and drive overall business growth.

Build and maintain strong relationships with national accounts and retail partners to drive sales and customer satisfaction combined with the ability to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.

Demonstration of growth mindset by embracing the qualities of agility, curiosity, accountability, and innovation consistent with Wilton’s Culture Recipe.

Develop and implementing sales strategies through analyzing data, market reports, and performance metrics. and plans aligned with the company's objectives and market trends.

Experience in sales forecasting, budget management, and P&L responsibility to optimize resources and achieve financial targets.
