Join Canlan Sports as the Manager for Hockey Leagues and play a pivotal role in the successful operation of Adult Leagues like the Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) and Youth Leagues, ensuring top-notch customer experiences and league management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimal annual travel required for team meetings and conferences.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage registrations, schedules, and relationships to enhance customer experiences.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and oversee staff effectively.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.

Leadership Competencies and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL) operations and drive execution excellence.
  • Collaborate on ASHL Tournaments Delivery for successful outcomes.
  • Support Youth Hockey League (YHL) operations for exceptional youth league experiences.
  • Lead sales initiatives, foster customer relationships, and drive growth.
  • Develop teams, manage conflicts, prioritize customer service, and resolve inquiries.
  • Drive innovation, identify market opportunities, and enhance product development.
  • Manage financial accountabilities and administrative functions efficiently.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Degree or Diploma in Sports, Business, Recreation, or related field.
  • Experience in hockey league management or league programming.
  • Certificates in relevant areas are advantageous.

Abilities, Attributes, and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in sports-related businesses.
  • Proficient in technology and computer skills; adept at Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of marketing campaigns and communications strategies.
  • Strong understanding of hockey leagues, tournaments, and operating procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Innovative thinker with a strategic approach to product execution and growth opportunities.
