Role Description The Pharmacy Shipping and Logistics Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing prescriptions and related materials for shipment in accordance with pharmacy protocols and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and maintaining inventory, verifying order details, labeling and packaging medications, and coordinating with couriers to ensure timely deliveries. The associate will communicate with pharmacy staff and, when needed, customers to resolve shipping issues, track orders, and support a smooth logistics workflow. The role also involves maintaining clean and safe work areas, following standard operating procedures, and documenting activities to support quality and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong packing skills and attention to detail to prepare secure, accurate shipments. Effective communication and customer service skills to collaborate with team members and assist patients professionally. Experience with inventory control and inventory management to track stock, minimize errors, and support efficient operations. Basic understanding of pharmacy shipping procedures, handling of medications, and related safety guidelines (training provided as needed). Solid organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures consistently. Comfort with using computers and shipping systems for order entry, tracking, and documentation. Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, logistics, or warehousing is an asset. Comfort with daily physical tasks, including lifting and carrying boxes and coolers, and loading/unloading deliveries. Must be able to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an advantage.
