About the role

TDC, a subsidiary of Transport Laberge, is looking for a Senior Dispatcher – A human, strategic, and customer‑focused role

Why join Transport TDC?

With over 20 years of experience in recreational and specialized vehicle transport, Transport TDC stands out through its expertise, reliability, and above all, its deeply human culture.

At TDC, a senior dispatcher is not just a planner: he is a people‑focused leader, a trusted ally for drivers, and a key partner for our clients and internal sales team.

This role is for someone who wants to make a real impact on operations, driver satisfaction, and the customer experience.

The use of the masculine form is intended to simplify the text.

Your daily impact

####Human leadership and support for drivers

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for drivers: listening, support, quick answers, and problem-solving.
  • Communicate clearly about loads, deliveries, logbooks, and operational expectations.
  • Ensure follow‑up on attendance and compliance with internal procedures; address and notify drivers in cases of non‑compliance, verbally or in writing depending on the severity and frequency.
  • Manage unexpected events (breakdowns, delays, incidents) with calm, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Assign trucks and routes fairly, considering strengths, qualifications, and client requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the “Transporter Vert” initiative regarding efficient and eco‑friendly driving aimed at reducing GHG emissions.

####Proactive client management and collaboration with internal sales

  • Communicate with clients, follow up, clarify needs, and maintain a positive and professional relationship.
  • Work closely with the internal sales team to validate requests, optimize proposed solutions, and ensure smooth execution.
  • Represent TDC with professionalism and courtesy, acting as a reliable, service‑oriented point of contact.
  • Contribute to client satisfaction by anticipating issues and proposing concrete solutions.

####Smart planning and work organization

  • Plan movements and optimize routes while respecting the human realities of drivers.
  • Organize round‑trip routes in a profitable, balanced, and realistic way.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance planner to ensure compliance with inspections and the maintenance program.
  • Ensure productivity of the fleet under your responsibility—right truck, right load, right driver.

####Administrative and operational rigor

  • Prepare customs documents required for drivers.

  • Prepare and respond to price requests for movements.

  • Verify, validate, and reconcile route data for payroll processing.

  • Use transportation software and the M365 suite effectively.

  • Perform any other related tasks linked to human, client, or operational coordination.

What we’re looking for

  • Excellent communication, people‑focused leadership, and strong service orientation.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a dispatcher.

  • Experience in client communication or internal coordination (a strong asset).

  • Class 1 license and ability to perform a flatbed/step‑deck test (asset).

  • Proficiency with transportation software and M365.

  • Experience with customs procedures.

  • Bilingual French/English to communicate with clients outside Quebec.

  • Availability to manage operational emergencies when needed.

What we offer

  • Salary based on experience.
  • Group insurance, Employee Assistance Program, 10 non‑cashable sick days, 3 non‑cashable personal days.
  • On‑site parking.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (variable depending on operations).
  • On‑site position within a stable, engaged, and people‑focused team
  • Type of position: full‑time, permanent.
