The Role
Cineflix Media is currently looking to fill the role of Digital Producer on a 5-day per week, 8-week contract, with possibility of extension, based in our Toronto office on a hybrid schedule.
Reporting to the Digital Lead, the Digital Producer will lead the end-to-end development and production of digital original content across YouTube, video-first podcasts, and companion digital formats built around Cineflix’s globally recognised factual TV brands.
Cineflix is expanding beyond full-episode publishing of established television brands into digital-first formats including compilations, companion digital content and video podcasts.
This role combines creative and technical execution, with a focus on developing and delivering new content formats informed by platform data and audience insights.
The salary range for this job is: $2,250 - $2,500 weekly
Responsibilities
Digital Video & Podcast Development
- Develop and produce digital video content from concept to delivery: research, creative development, scripting, scheduling, production, editing, sound mixing and publishing.
- Execute hands-on digital production, editing and post-production while applying data-informed creative decision-making.
Interview Producer / Director
- Conduct and direct interviews that encourage engaged conversation and banter, reveal personal insights and drive compelling narrative arcs.
Scripted Factual Storytelling
- Distil complex topics into clear, engaging, accessible narratives.
- Script and structure factual or documentary-style storytelling tailored to digital platforms.
Project Management
- Manage multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
- Work with production calendars, approval workflows and version control for effectively managing edits, masters, and final delivery.
Rights & Compliance
- Utilize understanding of factual or documentary production (television or digital) with working knowledge of rights clearances, releases and fact-checking.
- Maintain accurate production paperwork and version histories.
Workflow & Platform Development (Desired Experience)
- Build efficient workflows that help scale repeatable processes, such as templates, cue sheets, playbooks and post-production checklists.
- Proficient across YouTube, Spotify, and other podcast and video platforms, using core analytics and audience insights.
- Integrate AI-assisted video and audio tools (e.g. editing, transcription, dubbing) and to improve creative output and productivity.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience developing and producing digital video and/or podcast content
- Strong hands-on production, editing and post-production skills
- Excellent storytelling ability with experience in factual or documentary-style content
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to take ownership, seek input, and integrate feedback effectively.
Support Structure
This role will report into a senior Digital Lead and draw on expertise and resources from various other teams.
Editorial, scheduling, budgeting and production guidance will be provided, along with clarity around available in-house resources, tools, technologies and any elements that may require outsourcing.
