IRC was created in 1984 to represent the Inuvialuit and their rights and benefits obtained under one of Canada's oldest comprehensive land claim agreements. JOB SUMMARY
Servers are key in ensuring guests enjoy a welcoming and memorable dining experience by delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities include taking orders, providing personalized service, maintaining a clean dining environment, and supporting front-of-house operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and manage seating and waitlists.

Provide attentive service to guests, accurately presenting menu options and offering recommendations.

Ensure order accuracy and address any guest inquiries promptly.
-
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
-
Maintain a clean and organized dining area to uphold the restaurant's reputation for quality.
-
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders and payment.
-
Assist with reservations and efficiently coordinate seating arrangements.
-
Monitor the dining area to ensure tables are ready and available for guests.
-
Communicate with team members to ensure smooth service.
-
Respond to guest inquiries regarding reservations and restaurant policies.

Follow health and safety rules.
Shift Times:
Server positions are scheduled across multiple shifts. While the current shift structure is outlined below, please note that it may be adjusted based on operational needs. Applicants must be available to work a combination of the following shifts:
- Morning Shifts
- Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Weekends (Sat-Sun): 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Evening Shifts:
- Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Weekends (Sat-Sun): 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays, based on restaurant needs. Please indicate your availability for shifts in your application.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant setting is an asset.

Safe Serve certification (or willingness to obtain)
-
Dependable and able to work scheduled shifts. You can indicate your shift availability—whether it’s full-time, part-time, or just once in awhile when applying.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

Previous restaurant experience.

Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system
-
Safe Serve and/or Food Safe Level 1 Certifications.

- Don’t have Food Safe or Safe Serve yet? Mamaqtuq will pay for your training and certification.
