**Housekeeper -**Aspira Peninsula Retirement Living (South Surrey)

This is a Casual (on-call) position for to pick up for sick/vacation shifts.

We are looking for someone who is available to pick up **any of the following shifts for any day of the week: **

  • 8:00AM - 4:00PM
  • 5:00PM - 9:00PM

Wage Leveling rate of pay $24.08 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeper you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

  • Receive assignments, gather materials, and transport supplies to work area
  • Resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
  • Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.
  • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, shelves, and woodwork.
  • Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.
  • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of bathrooms, including floors, fixtures, and walls.
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants, ensuring they are tour-ready at all time
  • Ensure residents' privacy is respected during cleaning duties
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants according to prescribed procedures, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a similar role is required.
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.
  • You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
  • You are detailed-oriented and have and have strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
