We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our finance team in a dynamic and globally focused environment. This role will support international tax compliance, tax provisions tax reporting, and tax planning initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax expertise, experience working in multinational environments, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist with tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules.
- Prepare international tax calculations, filing, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support global tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS or US GAAP.
- Assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
- Assist with Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) requirements.
- Perform tax research and analysis to support tax compliance, reporting, and planning initiatives.
- Monitor developments in international tax legislation, including OECD initiatives and local tax law changes.
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities in various jurisdictions.
- Contribute to tax planning initiatives and structuring projects to optimize the global tax position.
- Maintain tax documentation and support improvements to tax processes and internal controls.
- Preparing corporate, partnership and trust returns (T2, T5013, T3).
- Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues, provincial and Federal Sales Tax calculation, analysis and planning.
- Maintain legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws.
- Maintain compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and provincial authorities.
- Manage and administer HST/GST/QST/PST/State Tax compliance including monthly returns. Identify and determine self-assessment taxes on relevant transactions.
- Manage tax audits including, direct interaction and support to tax auditors (both Income tax, HST/GST, US Sales and Use tax and PST audits).
- Manage forecasting and payments for income and capital tax installments.
- Provide coaching and training to various other departments on tax-related issues.
- Identify areas of tax savings by analyzing tax information.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Prepare and file annual NR-4 returns.
- Assist with the activities of third-party tax recovery firms, assist with or lead special projects as required.
- Ensure compliance with SOX and assistance with internal control testing
- Provide tax analysis and advice on transactions and to business operations including preparing tax position memos.
- Ensure follow-up on notices of assessments and other tax correspondence and accounting.
What Makes You The ONE
- 4-7+ years of tax experience, preferably with exposure to international taxation
- Experience in public accounting or multinational corporate tax departments is an asset
- Strong knowledge of international tax concepts, transfer pricing, and global tax compliance
- Strong experience working with complex and fast-paced tax provisions under IFRS or US GAAP
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) preferred.
- Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) in progress required.
- Strong understanding of accounting theory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good research skills are necessary.
- Highly detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet assigned deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
- Proficiency with tax and accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.

What You’ll Be Doing
