Racing Paddock Attendant-FLD

About the role

Oversee horse regulations as below:

  • In accordance with AGCO Regulations, ensure horse is in the paddock at the proper time.
  • Keep a record of the equipment and harness worn by every horse racing at the meeting
  • The equipment and harness worn by every horse shall be checked in the paddock against such records before each race.
  • All changes from the previous race shall be noted and the Assistant Race Secretary or Paddock Judge notified if a written authorization on the prescribed form is not presented for any change of equipment.
  • Check tattoos ensuring the correct horses are racing
  • Record and keep card for every horse that race onsite
  • Ensure that correct saddle pads are in the stalls for qualifiers and racing; washed and cleaned
  • Any other duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • High School or GED Equivalent
  • Must be able to work around horses
