The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Sr. Advisor, Reliability to join our Reliability Team working on site in Thompson, Manitoba. This is a permanent position.
As a Sr. Advisor, Reliability you will Work multi-functionally in the implementation of a reliability program, which encompasses systems, processes, procedures, standards, critical metrics, analysis, and tools that will improve business value for fixed and mobile assets
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Identify and resolve asset reliability issues in operations, ensuring best practices for asset uptime are standardized and shared across the organization.
- Collaborate with management teams to ensure adherence to the reliability program and proactively mitigate asset reliability risks.
- Provide recommendations for strategic investments in equipment, technology, and initiatives to maximize asset value and support multi-year asset strategy plans.
- Work closely with operating sites and leadership teams to develop budgets, production schedules, and shutdown plans aligned with reliability goals.
- Develop comprehensive asset strategies using tools such as RCM and FMECAs, covering routine maintenance and operational readiness for new assets.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams to establish optimal operating standards and a balanced mix of preventive and predictive tasks for reliable asset performance.
About You
Education:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification is preferred
Experience:
- 5-7 years of maintenance, reliability and/or engineering experience
- Experience with reliability tools (FMEA, Criticality analysis, etc.) developing asset service strategies and managing metrics such as available utilization, OEE, MTBF in a mining, milling, smelting or industrial environments.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP).
- 2-4 years in a Reliability or Maintenance engineering related role
