As the Salesforce Tech Lead, you will be at the forefront of shaping the technical direction and driving the execution of initiatives on the Salesforce platform. Your leadership and deep architectural knowledge will empower Definity to unlock the full potential of Salesforce, delivering innovative and scalable solutions that provide a strategic advantage for our colleagues and customers.
What you can expect
Our Salesforce practitioners are key members of our broader Platforms team. As a Tech Lead, you will be tasked with providing the technical leadership required to design, develop, and deliver robust, cross-cutting capabilities for optimal reuse across the organization.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers in the hands-on implementation, configuration, and development of the various components of Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Drive the technical vision and strategy for the Salesforce platform, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code in line with project timelines.
- Own the solution design and architecture across the entire project lifecycle, from inception and requirements gathering through to implementation, deployment, and long-term maintenance.
- Act as the primary technical authority on the team, guiding them through complex challenges and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evangelizing the latest Salesforce enhancements and releases, and articulating how they can bring strategic benefits to Definity.
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience leading IT projects on Salesforce technology platforms, with a proven track record of full-cycle implementations.
- Expert-level Salesforce development knowledge (Apex Trigger Frameworks, Schedulable / Batch / Queueable Apex, Custom REST Services) and the ability to set and enforce best practices.
- Extensive UI design and development experience with Lightning Web Components, with a portfolio of leading the development of complex user interfaces.
- Deep knowledge in Software Product Development processes and mastery in the design and implementation of DevOps Enablement tools (e.g. GIT, CI/CD, JIRA).
- A profound understanding of platform integration patterns and APIs, with proven experience architecting and leading the integration of multiple complex systems.
- The ability to own and lead solution discussions, make critical technical decisions, and develop technical solutions with minimal guidance.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, facilitation of decision making, documentation, and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Proven experience leading projects with the Agile methodology.
Nice to have:
- Additional Salesforce certifications, particularly in specialty areas.
- SFMC implementation and development experience.
- Experience with legacy technologies like Visualforce pages and Aura components for modernization projects.
- Experience in leading large-scale data migration projects.
Salary Range: $108,700 - $158,700
Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
