Administrative Coordinator (DFCM-Integrated Care)
About the role
Overview The Administrative Coordinator, DFCM & Integrated Care plays a pivotal role in supporting the expanding integration, system-planning, and operational coordination of the portfolio of the Program Medical Director for Family & Community Medicine (DFCM), whose portfolio includes medical leadership of the Integrated Care, Transition and Palliative Care programs at MGH. The role provides coordination and administrative support to the Program Medical Director’s whole portfolio, ensuring alignment between hospital-based transitional initiatives, community primary care partners, and integrated care pathways.
The Administrative Coordinator will also provide high-level scheduling, coordination, documentation, and operational support for the portfolio work that intersects with East Toronto Health Partners Ontario Health Team (OHT) initiatives, particularly those related to primary care including work of the Primary Care Network (PCN) and Primary Care Action Team (PCAT).
This role is designed to complement and work closely with the existing Medical Trainee and Faculty Support Coordinator role within the DFCM, supporting clear role differentiation while fostering strong collaboration across academic, clinical, and system-level initiatives. The position isembedded within a shared administrative ecosystem, working closely with academic administrative colleagues to promote alignment, adaptability, and continuity across portfolios.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration preferred
Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare, hospital, or system-level administrative or coordination roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience working with shared document environments (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive)
- High degree of discretion, judgment, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
Strong Asset
- Proficiency with Slack as a communication and coordination tool, including managing multiple channels and supporting real-time collaboration
- Experience supporting senior leadersin fast-paced, matrixed environments
- Familiarity with integrated care, Ontario Health Teams, Primary Care Networks, Transitional Care or system-level health initiatives
- Comfortable working in evolving, complex environments
- Strong systems-thinking and ability to connect work across portfolios
- Collaborative, relational, and team-oriented
- Calm, organized, and reliable under competing demands
- Aligned with values of integrated, patient-centred care
- Previous hospital experience is an asset.
- Good work and attendance record required.
