About The Role The Mechanical Designer will work in collaboration with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to design the mechanical integration of vehicle and portable systems; as well as to generate manufacturing and assembly drawings; Additionally, the Mechanical Designer will be responsible for maintaining the parts lists in the documentation system.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the mechanical design of vehicle and portable systems;
- Produce manufacturing drawings;
- Produce cable drawings;
- Create and maintain assembly drawings;
- Update parts lists;
- Participate in mechanical design reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in electronic systems design;
- Proficiency in specialized software such as SolidWorks;
- Strong teamwork skills, good communication, attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude;
- Ability to organize work, track progress, and meet deadlines.
Assets
- Knowledge of documentation software such as Windchill;
- Knowledge of EMI shielding;
- Knowledge of Thermal Analysis (Flow Simulation);
- Experience with vehicle systems.
