WHAT WE DO: **Foothills Group creates content that shows:**Real Work, with Real Machines with Real problems fixed by Industry Leading Technicians. We host our content on YT,TT,IG and Facebook and we aim to keep it raw and real. Our mission is to share how we do "Whatever it Takes" to get the work done, the material moving and the trucks back on the road.
HOW WE DO IT: We are in the shops, recording the moments that show the real truths of being a mechanic, working in the industry and the benefits/highlights of the equipment solving real problems in the world.
WHY WE DO IT?: We love our industry, we love what we do. We help people accomplish their goals by keeping their machines moving and we think people are genuinely interested in what we have to share.
WHAT IS THIS ROLE: This is a hands on, on site role where you will share in the vision of the content engine while;
- Managing daily footage
- Providing creative feedback to the Storyboards/Content Ideas
- Editing content to maintain a consistent delivery of short form and long form media (60pcs/month).
- Organizing content packages to send to contract editing support when needed
- Supporting filming when needed.
- Helping to build the system that builds brand awareness for Foothills Group as both a service company and an equipment dealership.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for a short-form editing wizard that also has strong media organization skills and strategies without overproducing it. Someone who can find the thread, find the story and create the engagement to create loyal content followers. We are all for the use of AI tools, but will not lose the humanity required to do what we do, so we will not allow automated slop farming.
Demonstration of previous experience will be required (share a link to your portfolio) where we can see your ability to create engaging hooks, solid composition and clear/engaging narratives. Software skills in Davinci, Opus, Adobe Premiere, Data Organization, Photoshop and Lightroom are required.
WHERE IS THIS ROLE BASED?: This position will work in Calgary, on location in SE Calgary. There will be occasional trips out of town for larger shoots to customer sites and Lethbridge using company vehicles.

About Foothills Group Inc.
The vision has always been there, but it has grown exponentially. What started out as a one man show fixing automotive vehicles in a three car garage just a few years ago, has quickly turned into a much larger operation. Moving from a home garage into a building with a 3,300 sq ft shop was a big step towards our goals. With four lifts and the ability to work on seven vehicles in the shop, we rapidly outgrew the space after a year and a half.
We have now moved into an 11,000 sq ft shop and have grown our range of services to include more than just fleet vehicles.
Our name has changed from Foothills Fleet Service to Foothills Group. We have opened three divisions to cater to a broad range of customers, while staying specialized in different fields.
