Job Summary:

The Forklift Driver responsible for safely operating production machinery and material handling equipment to support efficient manufacturing, material flow, and shipping operations. This role combines machine operation with forklift and material handling duties, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Shift Schedule - Monday - Friday. 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

What you will do:

  • Safely operate forklifts, vacuum transfer systems, and other powered industrial equipment to move materials throughout the plant.
  • Load, unload, stack, and transport raw materials, molded blocks, and finished products.
  • Screen, package, label, and store materials according to established procedures.
  • Load trailers securely for outbound shipments and assist with trailer moves as required.
  • Coordinate shipping requirements and ensure materials are handled to maintain product integrity.
  • Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, quality, and shipping teams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a cooperative attitude in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and specification compliance and report defects.
  • Accurately document production data, including output, material usage, and machine logs.
  • Assist with machine setups, mold changes, and material preparation.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machines and workstations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • 2-5 years previous experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety practices and culture
  • Highly motivated with a good, sound work ethic.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
  • Prior experience operating an Electric sit-down forklift or other mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks).
  • Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow Carlisle policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Good communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Basic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator.
  • Team player able to follow instructions from both management and peers.
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
  • Hours worked: 8 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume.
  • Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.
