Position:Healthcare Security Guard - Quinte Health
Site:Belleville General Hospital, Prince Edward Country Memorial Hospital, Trenton Memorial Hospital, North Hastings Hospital
Hours: Various
Pay Rate:$18.35 - $19.13/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence
- Assist, greet, and direct visitors and staff
- Protect clients, property, and assets
- Patrol interior/exterior areas and respond to incidents
- Document and report security events; investigate routine issues
- Conduct patient watches and support hospital staff
- Enforce hospital policies, parking rules, and smoking bylaws
- Manage access control, keys, and safety inspections
- Work effectively independently and with a team
- Perform other assigned duties
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid Ontario G drivers license
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Rubella are required at the time of hire.
- How to get hired in Healthcare
- Immunization Record Form: Immunization-Record-Ontario-Paladin.pdf
- 6+ months of security experience required; 1+ year preferred
- Previous healthcare security experience considered an asset
- Able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Have a reliable, well-maintained vehicle
- Must be able to train and work at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)
- Able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)

- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
