What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in mid-town Toronto is seeking an
Investment Associate to provide dedicated support in investment & wealth
management activities for a high performing Advisory Team. This team of 28
professionals, including 6 Partners, is entrusted with managing over $7
Billion of capital for high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional
investors
What will you do?
- Help manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
- Maintain existing client accounts, execute trades, and rebalance portfolios.
- Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
- Prepare Advisors for meetings with their clients/prospects.
- Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
- Respond to client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax reporting, account reporting, etc.).
- Assist the Advisor team with portfolio analysis for client proposals and onboarding.
- Identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for deliverables.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems, including Salesforce.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Chartered Investment Management (CIM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or progress towards either designation
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in securities industry
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
