The Conventional Payables Attesting Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance to team members on the timely attestation of operated Drilling & Completions and Abandonment & Reclamation invoices. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to a diverse team of Payables Accountants. Strong knowledge of Conventional Oil & Gas Operations, along with organizational and communication skills and a strong work ethic are critical to success in this role. This role is highly focused on facilitating communication and maintaining effective working relationships with internal departments and external vendors. Job location: Calgary, Alberta Work schedule: 5x2 - Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts Safety sensitive position: No Application deadline: July 8, 2026 Key Accountabilities: Provide leadership and technical expertise to team members on the attestation of invoices to ensure evidence of work completed, appropriate grants of authority, agreement of rates to approved rate sheets and/or governing agreements, and overall reasonability based on industry knowledge Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Drilling & Completions, Abandonment & Reclamation, and Supply Management departments to ensure timely resolution of information requests and vendor billing issues Set performance targets for individual team members and ensure targets and deadlines are met Identify and lead continuous improvement projects for the department Mentor team members to assist in their professional development What You Bring to the Role: 7+ years of related accounting experience Accounting designation Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Excel, EnterpriseOne, FDAP, Open Invoice, and WellView What We Offer: Competitive salary, stock options, company matched stock savings plan, annual bonuses May be eligible for relocation pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Relocation Policy 100% Employer paid extended Health, Dental and Vision Benefits Health & Wellness Spending Account Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community Employee & Family Assistance Program Access to online learning platforms for continuous learning and development Paid vacation and time off during Christmas week and summer Fridays Check out our COMPENSATION & BENEFITS to learn more about what we have to offer!
