Junior Project Coordinator

Location – Toronto, ON
The Junior Project Coordinator will join the Power & Renewables Inspection team in Toronto to assist mainly in the Closeout of construction projects. Responsibilities are varied but involve auditing and review of Contractor’s project closeout documentation, monitoring schedules and compliance to deadlines, report writing, status reporting and liaising with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
Your role within the team:
- Conduct audits of Contractor’s final project deliverables to ensure full compliance with client requirements prior to submission of the construction closeout package.
- Review and validate contractors’ GCF closeout documentation, identifying any deficiencies and ensuring all documents provided align with the Contractor’s GCF checklist. collaborate with stakeholders daily to ensure that all close-out procedures and timelines are met.
- Examine Contractor’s As-built drawings for accuracy, ensuring all markups, stamps, signatures, and technical deviations comply with TH Standards/ O.Reg 22/04 and CSA-S250. Coordinate this review with the Contractor’s final billing (labour and material).
- Perform Material Variance Analysis report for completed projects to confirm that all unused materials are returned to the Client.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any violations related to closeout documentation or procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive GCF closeout report in accordance with company standards and templates incorporating lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Maintain organized records for all closeout documentation within AtkinsRéalis project folders on SharePoint and provide weekly status updates on all projects assigned to close.
- Participate in post-construction meetings at the Client office as required and attend internal Monthly Safety & Operations Meetings as well as weekly Safety and Ethics Toolbox Talks.

- Graduated from a civil or electrical post-secondary engineering or technical program.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems would be an asset and previous co-ordination experience.

- Superior verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
