Class 1 Dump Truck Driver – Construction & Civil Division (Full Time)

Verity Construction Ltd. – Sooke & Westshore, BC Verity Construction is hiring a full-time Class 1 Dump Truck Driver to join our Construction & Civil Division working on residential and commercial developments throughout Sooke and the Westshore area. Verity Construction operates a dedicated Civil Services Division that performs underground utility installation, site servicing, roadworks, excavation, and earthworks for residential and commercial developments throughout the Westshore and Sooke areas. Our crews work on townhouse communities, condominium buildings, mixed-use developments, and municipal infrastructure projects. We focus on safe, efficient production sites with well-organized crews and steady long-term work. We are looking for reliable individuals who show up on time, work hard, and take pride in operating equipment safely and professionally.

Responsibilities

Operate a Class 1 dump truck and trailer safely and efficiently Haul aggregates, gravel, soil, excavation materials, and construction supplies between job sites Transport materials to and from pits, suppliers, disposal facilities, and construction sites Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete required documentation Secure loads and comply with all transportation regulations Coordinate with foremen, operators, dispatch, and project teams Maintain a clean and professional vehicle Assist with site logistics and material deliveries Follow all company safety procedures and requirements Represent Verity Construction professionally on job sites and public roadways Requirements Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence Clean driver's abstract Experience operating dump truck and trailer combinations Strong understanding of load securement and transportation regulations Ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to show up on time every day Ability to communicate effectively with site personnel and supervisors Willingness to work overtime when required Experience working in civil construction is an asset Job Details Full-time position Work on residential, multi-family, commercial, and civil construction projects Projects located throughout Sooke and the Westshore area Local work – home every night Competitive wages based on experience, attitude, and work ethic Overtime paid after 8 hours per day Benefits available Verity Construction is a well-established builder and developer that takes pride in delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
