About the role

IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY Interim Benefits Leader Duration: 6 Months (possibility of permanent) Reports to: Director Total Rewards Location: Vaughan Hybrid 3 -days per week (flexible)

Our industrial client is seeking an Interim Benefits Leader to assist them in during a period of change. This individual will take responsibility for the strategic leadership, governance, and operational excellence of the Canadian and US benefits and pensions function. The role ensures that programs, systems, and processes are compliant, competitive, scalable, and aligned with organizational strategy.

Key Accountabilities: Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed team Support the centralization of Canadian and US benefits Managed defined contribution and defined pension plans Assist the CHRO team with coaching and leading the HR team

Competencies and Requirements: Deep experience in benefits and pensions in a blue-collar environment US benefit experiences a definite asset Union experience a definite asset Ideally bilingual Strong leadership skills and an interest in developing people Experience with defined contribution and defined benefit plans Strong change management skills

This role will appeal to someone who enjoys doing the full project independently. This will be a solo role.
