About the role
Position: SAP S/4 HANA Techno-Functional Consultant
Location: Toronto - Hybrid - 3 days in office Salary: $90 to $100 per hour on incorporation
Job type: 12 to 24-month contract Posting Type: Open vacancy
We are seeking a hands-on SAP S/4HANA Techno-Functional Consultant with strong functional expertise, technical understanding, and business acumen. This role will partner closely with Finance and Warehousing to improve SAP processes, reduce manual workarounds, and help the organization fully leverage SAP's capabilities.
The consultant will play a key role in modernizing legacy workflows, simplifying over-customized configurations, and supporting ongoing improvements as the organization prepares for a major SAP cloud migration.
Key Responsibilities:

Support, configure, and enhance SAP S/4HANA solutions across Finance and Warehousing business processes.

Work closely with Finance and Supply Chain/Warehouse teams to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP configurations and functional solutions.

Configure and support SAP Finance components (e.g., GL, AP, AR, asset accounting, cost/profit center accounting) in alignment with business processes.

Support warehousing and inventory processes, including material master data, inventory management, goods movements, and lot/batch tracking.

Analyze existing SAP configurations and custom developments, recommending improvements to increase standardization and system efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve SAP production issues, performing root cause analysis and coordinating fixes.

Support reporting requirements by validating data, defining business rules, and ensuring accurate financial and inventory reporting.

Participate in system testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and post-go-live support.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as an SAP Consultant with hands-on SAP S/4HANA exposure
-
Strong techno-functional background, with the ability to work across configuration, troubleshooting, and business process improvement

Solid experience supporting Finance processes within SAP (GL, AP/AR, close processes, validations, reporting needs, etc.)

Working knowledge of warehousing/inventory functions, including material master concepts, inventory tracking, and related workflows
-
Proven ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions and scalable configurations
-
Strong experience reviewing and improving existing configurations/customizations, with a focus on standardization and upgrade readiness

Experience supporting testing cycles (unit testing, regression testing, UAT) and go-live support
