About the opportunity:

With a focus on providing meaningful value to our current and future customers, Best Way Stone is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join the Uxbridge Maintenance department and help drive our evolving operations.

The Industrial Electrician will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical systems across our manufacturing operations to ensure minimal downtime and smooth production flow. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, and servicing of equipment essential to the daily production of our products, often in collaboration with equipment operators to resolve issues

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Industrial or Master Electrician in a manufacturing environment.

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program and valid 442A (or equivalent) Electrician License.

  • Proficient in reading electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and prints.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical systems, control systems, PLCs, and motor controls.

  • Knowledge of 24 VDC, 110, and 480/600 3 Phase VAC systems; PC/PLC control systems.

  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, regulations, safety standards, and plant safety procedures.

  • Able to use electrical testing and diagnostic tools; safely operate power and hand tools.

  • High mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Practical knowledge of machine operations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities and respond quickly to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment.

  • Clear communication skills to explain technical issues and repair needs to non-technical team members.

  • Able to interpret and share technical information, such as schematics or equipment requirements, with operators and supervisors.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with maintenance, production, and other departments.

  • Self-motivated, with the initiative to set priorities, plan work, and pursue ongoing learning/training in electrical systems and safety.

  • Reliable and punctual.

  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control systems, and power distribution equipment in an industrial environment.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute wiring and equipment installations.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.

  • Use diagnostic equipment and testing instruments to identify and repair faulty components.

  • Adhere to safety regulations, electrical codes, and plant compliance requirements.

  • Assist with new equipment installations, programming automated machinery, and verifying PLC repairs.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, electrical inventories, and updated plant schematics.

  • Label terminal boxes/strips and ensure compliance with E.S.A. requirements.

  • Coordinate electrical work with outside contractors and support Maintenance Mechanics on priority jobs.

  • Manage multiple maintenance priorities, monitor preventive maintenance schedules, and support project management for electrical work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This rotating shift position is based in Uxbridge on a Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm schedule, with every fifth shift worked at our Woodbridge facility on a Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am schedule. Overtime may be required.
