Vice President, Cost Management (Western Canada)

What your day-to-day will look like:
- Drive project excellence by leading controls for multiple complex, large-scale engagements simultaneously
- Shape project outcomes through detailed cost estimation from concept to completion and strategic value engineering
- Navigate market dynamics by analyzing local pricing trends and conducting comprehensive market studies
- Mitigate risks proactively by identifying potential project threats and implementing strategic solutions
- Lead stakeholder engagement through compelling presentations and transparent progress reporting
- Oversee financial accuracy via bid analysis, change order reviews, and contractor reconciliations
- Build and mentor teams through strategic recruitment, hiring, and workforce development
- Expand our footprint by strengthening client relationships and generating new business opportunities
- Innovate continuously by implementing best practices and staying ahead of industry trends
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Aggregates and translates outputs into marketable deliverables (e.g. Case Studies, White Papers and quarterly metrics.)
- Ability to generate design stage cost evaluations; Capable of working conceptually and qualifying unknowns; expertise in estimating software and benchmarking tools
- Knowledge of lender services/loan monitoring reporting.
- Conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within project cost management.
- Demonstrated competence in performing structured work assignments.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
- Ability to receive instruction, guidance, and direction from more senior-level roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members, clients and executives alike.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years as an Estimator, Cost Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff or other similar estimating or cost management software.
- Professional certification (e.g., AACE, RICS, CIQS).
