Accounting Clerk | Steele Auto Group
At Steele Auto Group, our accounting teams do more than balance numbers. They help keep our dealerships moving, our teams supported, and our customers confident behind the scenes. Accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial processes are essential to keeping our dealerships operating at their best. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team and play a meaningful role in supporting daily accounting functions that directly impact dealership performance.
As an Accounting Clerk, you will contribute across core financial processes including transaction posting, reconciliations, deal processing, and reporting. This position works closely with operational teams and leadership, ensuring financial information is timely, accurate, and aligned with dealership activity.
Wage: $20.80 - $27.10/hour
What you will be doing:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Schedule, post and reconcile transactions across multiple systems
- Daily and monthly reporting
- Supporting interdepartmental processes and maintaining strong working relationships
- Assisting with inventory tracking and quality control measures
- Posting and reporting vehicle deals accurately and efficiently
- Managing accounts receivable and balancing general ledger accounts
- Completing daily cash reporting and supporting accounts payable functions
- Providing ongoing support to the Controller and accounting team as needed
What you bring to the table:
- Post secondary education in accounting or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a high volume environment
- Automotive or dealership experience considered a strong asset
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with computerized accounting systems
- A team first mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
