About The Role As an IT Systems Analyst (Technical Resource Technologist, Qualified), you will be responsible for providing technical support to various departments within planning, regulatory, design and/or field operations functions. This position will provide coordination, maintenance, monitoring, and execution of one or a variety of department Information Technology management systems which may include: environmental, financial, lab, operations, engineering and/or maintenance data.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build, commission, troubleshoot and maintain VMWare Servers, Windows Servers, Linux Servers, SANs, NAS’s and LAN/WAN networks consisting of Firewalls, Routers and Switches.
  • Produces, edits, analyzes, and models data specific to the team function.
  • Prepares and submits reports and/or analysis in an accurate and timely manner for monthly, quarterly, annual, and other special reports as required by the team function, other departments, or regulations.
  • Ad-hoc reporting as required.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting Windows operating system calls.
  • Taking and resolving support calls on various systems such as Remote Desktop Servers, Network Switches and Routers, Firewalls and VOIP systems.
  • Triaging requests and incidents tickets for supported business applications.
  • Supporting business applications through configuration changes and IT change request processes.
  • Gathers data and coordinates schedules for various audits.
  • Conducts user acceptance testing and facilitates field implementation of hardware and software.
  • Provides technical support and assistance that are required specific to or outside of the team function or department.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing VPN problems.
  • Develops, consolidates, and supports documentation such as standards and work procedures.
  • Participates in project planning meetings and acts as liaison with internal groups.
  • Work with external vendors and other IT teams to troubleshoot incidents and support application upgrades.

What you Bring:

  • Completion of a post-secondary technology diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer or Networking from a recognized Canadian institute of technology
  • May be required to attain registration with A.S.E.T.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience working in System Operations supporting Windows, Linux Servers and networking
