What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, service, maintain and repair fleet of diesel powered generators and diesel pumps, as well as electric submersible pumps of various voltages.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs, testing repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Support with equipment service and repairs on customer jobsites as needed (provide support over the phone and occasionally physically go to jobsites for field service calls. This will be a primarily in-shop role).
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of inspections, maintenance and work orders.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
  • Contribute to a professional and safe work environment by keeping the shop and yard clean, and following all company policies and procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of related mechanical experience. Prior experience working on pumps and/or generators is a definite asset.
  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician License (421A or 310T or other relevant trade certificate) or equivalent work experience.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You’ll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
  • Strong electrical knowledge in 12volt dc and ac power systems and components, and thorough knowledge of diesel engines is required.
  • Understanding of Tier 4 emissions and diesel pumps is an asset.
  • Must have a complete set of tools.
  • Available and willing to work over-time as required.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a strong focus on following procedures and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and stay up to date with emerging technology.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods. Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
