As the eCommerce Content Specialist, you will oversee the eCommerce Content team and manage partnerships with Home’s third-party eCommerce content partners, to lead the implementation and ongoing development of content strategy initiatives that deliver first-class on-site user experience to drive revenue growth and online conversion. Led by the Manager, eCommerce, this opportunity will suit someone who has experience within the online content space and has a proven ability to manage teams and projects.

Develop eCommerce content best practices and style guidelines to ensure a consistent experience. Manage the day-to-day operations of the eCommerce Content team and multiple third-party partner relationships to ensure optimal site plans, productivity, and workflows. Provide leadership and guidance to all team members and partners defining goals and targets. Evaluate content produced by all parties and provide feedback to ensure it meets the highest quality of standards. Responsible for the development of online buying guides, blogs, in-box stuffers, product quizzes, Dealer Engagement surveys, FAQs, SEO optimized category descriptions, buy-flow copy, sitewide copy, and more. Become Home’s online content expert; monitor trends and advocate for new opportunities or technology to optimize content, streamline processes, or improve user experience. Engage with current and evaluate new potential partners to implement. Manage the creation of online content calendars uniting consumer need, category growth initiatives, and supplier opportunities for maximum conversion. Work cross functionally with marketing channel owners to optimize consumer engagement and drive sales. Support the Manager, eCommerce in planning and overseeing the ecommerce content budget to align with annual objectives for content development. Act as the primary point-of-contact for website content development. Gather content objectives, requirements, and recommendations, ensuring it has value for the target audience. Pitch various marketing strategies to develop new ideas, concepts, and creative solutions.
We’re looking for
Degree in Marketing, Communication, eCommerce with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the online content space, ideally within an ecommerce organization. Proven ability to manage teams and lead projects effectively. Demonstrated experience with SEO best practices, content management systems, heatmapping and Google Analytics a definite asset. Strong understanding of the in-store shopping experience in an omni-channel retail environment are beneficial. Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and project management skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
