Qualifications
BC Certification with Bachelor of Education Degree Master's Degree in Counselling Experience in Cognitive-Theory-Based Counselling with an understanding of Trauma Informed Practice Previous successful experience in Counselling required Must be familiar with Inter-ministerial social agency protocols Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Must be experienced at working in a collaborative team setting Training in Suicide Risk Assessment and care plans An understanding of counselling supports through a Response to Intervention lens
Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Maintain therapy caseloads Consult with school-based teams, parents, district staff, and community agencies Provide/facilitate professional development opportunities for School District No. 20 employees Active member of District Itinerant Team and District Counselling Team.
Salary and Benefits:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $64,012 to $118,237, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Note: The successful candidate will require a valid driver's license and vehicle.
