**Location:**Mississauga, ON.
Shifts: 12-hour Continental shift (7 to 7), rotating every 2 weeks (days/nights).
**Union:**membership required after 600 hours.
Production/Process Techniciansare machine operators that work with various types of extrusion and sophisticated thermoforming equipment, ensuring a safe work environment and maintaining production targets. This role allows you to operate in different areas of the production department, maximizing production and quality of output to meet the team targets.
All successful applicants must complete and pass a Mechanical Comprehension assessment.
A mechanical & technical assessment must be completed to determine general mechanical aptitude and suitability for the role.
What will you do?
- Conduct all work in a safe manner — thinkSafety First
- Be aware of task-related hazards and report unsafe practices or conditions; know emergency stop locations and complete required fire extinguisher checks
- Monitor and stock packaging materials; manage material flow, bins, and hoppers; roll and feed sheets into the canopy, trim press, and thermoformer.
- Ensure scrap product and sheet material are removed, ground, and regrind is consumed within allowable limits; maintain tight control of materials and minimize waste.
- Conduct all required equipment, process, quality, sanitation, and SPC checks; complete check sheets, ensure material blends are correct, and take corrective actions as required.
- Troubleshoot loaders, equipment, and processes; make adjustments to maintain quality yield; perform preventative maintenance and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
- Move finished product to designated warehouse locations and generate license plates; assist packers during changeovers, support box taping and product movement, and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

- Experience in a manufacturing production operations or technical equivalent education (preferred).
- Good communication skills (able to understand written and verbal instructions in English).
- Solid computer proficiency.
- Able to clearly fill out labels, reports, and checklists.
- Must be flexible to work different work schedules as required as work assignments will change and opportunity to complete work may require a shift change.
- Must be willing to work in a Manufacturing/Production environment with areas of heat and humidity, dust and high noise levels.
- Must be willing to wear all required protective equipment.
- Able to lift 35-40 lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time.
