The Opportunity
Are you a bold, driven chef ready to take the reins at Whistler’s most iconic après spot?
At the Longhorn Saloon, we serve up big flavours, big energy, and unforgettable moments—and we’re looking for a Head Chef who can match that vibe.
You’ll lead the charge in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen where quality, consistency, and teamwork are everything. From brunch to late-night bites, you’ll be setting the tone, inspiring your crew, and making sure every plate lives up to the legend.
Wage and Perks of the Job
- $60,000 - $75,000 annual salary based on experience

What You Bring to the Table
- Proven experience in fast-paced, high-volume kitchens
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A commitment to excellence in both food and teamwork
- Calm under pressure and quick on your feet
- Familiarity with tools like Bevspot, POS, and kitchen management systems
- Red Seal certification (or equivalent) is a bonus—but not required
Your Days Will Look Like
- Oversee daily kitchen operations across all services and events
- Lead and mentor a high-performing culinary team
- Develop seasonal, guest-focused menus using fresh, local ingredients
- Maintain high standards in food safety, quality, and cleanliness
- Manage food and labour budgets with an eye on both efficiency and excellence
- Work cross-functionally with FOH and leadership teams to ensure smooth execution
- Jump in on the line when needed—this is a hands-on leadership role
