Software Architect / Applications Developer (.NET)
Location: Hybrid – Quebec, Canada Duration: 12 Months Employment: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Software Architect / Applications Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft .NET and enterprise software architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing scalable n-tier applications, defining software architecture standards, leading development teams, and implementing enterprise solutions in a service-oriented environment.
Required Skills
10+ years of overall IT experience. 5+ years of Software Architecture experience. 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies. Strong experience designing enterprise-level n-tier architectures. Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and API integration. Strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns. Experience with software architecture documentation and technical design. Expertise in code reviews, coding standards, and development best practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Strong understanding of logging, exception handling, performance tuning, and multi-source data access. Experience with data modeling and enterprise application integration. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain enterprise software architecture for .NET applications. Develop scalable n-tier and service-oriented application architectures. Document architecture, programming standards, and technical specifications. Perform complex software development and implementation tasks. Conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and evaluate new technologies. Research and resolve application performance issues. Guide development teams on coding standards, architecture, and best practices. Review software architecture and ensure compliance across implementation teams. Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality. Design logical and physical architecture for software components. Develop integration architecture for inter-system communication. Implement and enhance development frameworks, reusable components, and testing environments. Support production deployments and post-production activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
