The Opportunity
Our Team, SC Facilities Projects & Operations, is looking to add a dedicated individual in Calgary to support the development, administration, and tracking of contracts and sourcing activities. Working closely with senior analysts and project leads, you will help ensure that agreements are aligned with project needs and comply with internal policies. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in contract management within a dynamic project environment.
We are seeking a Senior Contract Analyst who has knowledge and experience to lead complex sourcing and contracting activities that support major infrastructure projects, ensuring agreements deliver value, mitigate risk, and comply with corporate standards. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, including Legal, Finance, Engineering, and Project Management—while serving as the primary commercial contact for contractors and suppliers.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager for Projects, this position offers exposure to strategic negotiations, contract lifecycle management, and performance oversight in a dynamic project environment. We are seeking candidates with a strong background in contract administration or procurement, typically 3-5 years of experience, combined with expertise in commercial terms, risk management, and supplier relationship management. Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with contract management tools are essential, along with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams.
This individual has the proven skills, competencies and capacity to ensure contracts deliver maximum value while minimizing risk through expert negotiation and compliance oversight. This role supports strategic sourcing for major projects, fosters strong vendor relationships, and provides guidance that aligns commercial decisions with organizational goals.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and review contract documents, including scopes of work, terms and conditions, and pricing schedules
- Lead sourcing events and develop commercial strategies for Projects BU
- Support the full contract lifecycle process, including document control, tracking key dates, and maintaining contract records
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g., SC, Legal, Finance, Engineering) to gather inputs and ensure contract alignment with project requirements
- Monitor contractor performance and compliance with contract terms
- Participate in sourcing activities such as RFx preparation, bid evaluations, and vendor onboarding
- Assist in resolving contract issues and escalate complex matters as needed
- Maintain accurate records in contract management systems and support reporting requirements
- Resolve contract disputes and manage amendments or claims effectively
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field
- 6 years' experience in contract administration, procurement, or supply chain management
- Proficiency in contract management systems and ERP tools (ex: SAP) plus strong MS Office skills
- Solid understanding of commercial terms, risk management, and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for negotiations and stakeholder engagement
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
