This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role requiring deep experience in complex manufacturing environments, strong ERP proficiency—specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central—and the ability to translate demand into executable production plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize master production schedules (MPS) aligned with aircraft demand, capacity, and material availability
  • Translate sales forecasts, firm orders, and engineering changes into detailed, executable production plans within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with labour, tooling, and resource constraints
  • Capacity & Constraint Management
  • Perform capacity planning for labour, work centres, tooling, and key resources
  • Identify bottlenecks, risks, and constraints early; recommend mitigation strategies to the Production Manager
  • Support make/buy and sequencing decisions through capacity and lead-time analysis
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Act as the primary planning interface between Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management
  • Manage schedule impacts resulting from engineering changes, non-conformances, supplier delays, and labour variability
  • Support daily and weekly production meetings with accurate, data-driven planning inputs
  • ERP (Business Central) & Data Ownership
  • Own and maintain planning accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including:
  • Production and work orders
  • Routings and lead times
  • Bills of material (BOMs)
  • Capacity and scheduling parameters
  • Drive continuous improvement in Business Central planning data integrity and system utilization
  • Develop and maintain planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs (schedule adherence, WIP, throughput, OTIF)
  • WIP Forecasting
  • Create WIP inventory forecasts and measure variances to budget and targets
  • Create strategies to reduce working capitol by effective WIP planning and scheduling
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Lead or support lean manufacturing and production planning improvements
  • Standardize planning practices across production lines and programs
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory requirements relevant to aerospace manufacturing

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of production planning, master scheduling, or manufacturing planning experience
  • Strong experience in complex, regulated manufacturing (aerospace preferred; automotive/defense acceptable)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of MPS, MRP, capacity planning, and shop floor execution
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aircraft or high-mix / low-volume manufacturing
  • APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma
  • Diamond Perks
  • Competitive benefits including extended health care, dental, vision, and mental health support
  • Vacation allowance that includes paid vacation plus 5 paid sick days per year
  • RRSP match program to support your financial future
  • Tuition reimbursement to help you grow professionally
  • Opportunities to participate in exciting company events and team-building activities throughout the year
